stat whoring is wrecking this fine server

something really needs to be done about the stat whores, i mean some players think stats are more important than helping the team out, im not mentioning names but you know who u r u lamers.

they dont like to give res for the benefit of the team they go fade or lerk just to try n get a stat boost when there is still rts to be built not to mention when theres hives still to be built.

its bloody lame to say the least and really does my nut in, get a grip and remeber this is about teamwork not rankings.
im sure im not the only one who this is getting to. :x

Although I'm pretty sure aliens arent supposed to work as a team.

Also, I vaguely rember quite a lengthy rant by someone complaining that people were being lame by all going gorge and putting down res towers.

Personaly I agree with you here, but dont see how it matters that much.

And since I've never bothered to check rank yet....

teamwork in ns is everything, dont believe me?
you try n go rambo with a whole team doing their own thing and i can guarantee you that you get a hmg shoved up your behind. then your hives will go pop quick style.

i say again teamwork is key to success especially on siege maps ..

maybe your one of the lamers i was talking about especially if you dont work as a team, people like that should go play on co maps where you can just get jp and fly around being a nublet.

When we are already ranting away I can just add today a lerk picked me up and flew me to my sure death and then used the defense I had built to survive the pings of death... I'm wrong thinking that is really really stupid or is it something I have missed!?

Now I'm aware that I may have over done the tower thing abit but I haven't seen any rules agains building lots of towers...

What is the way to go if you like to play like gorge and build stuff??

since there isnt an NS site anymore, I cant go and get links for you, however, the aliens were initial billed as the do your own thing, whilst marines needed team work.

I personaly think working as a team works much better, its what I do.

Had you bothered to actualy read my post, you might have noticed that.

yup i did read ur post and i picked up on the bit were u said aliens werent meant to work as a team, now my understanding of english is fine maybe you shouldnt have put my quote of the month in your post "aliens arent supposed to work as a team"

Anyway, As I said, the site isnt even online anymore, but if it returns one day, have a look about, read the background stories, they were ok actualy, you might learn a thing or too.


The marines had a heavily centralised command system, with the com chair, the aliens however, had a much more low level system, hive site, and parasites.

Not that mic's and chat didnt end this anyway.
