Noob section:
Before you go gorge, we need to have some facts and basic good old knowhow printed into your mind, as follow...
The Gorge is a
"builder alien" of the species "Kharaa". And is communly known under this names: Gorge, Gorgy, piggys and pigs.
NS_map basics:
The main role the Gorge have in NS_maps is beeing a builder, placing
Offence
Chambers (
OCs) in daily tems.
Resouse
Towers (
RTs),
(
HIVES!),
Deffence
Chambers (
DCs),
Movement
Chambers (
MCs)
and
Sencory
Chambers (
SCs).
As a gorge it is your job to
"secure" the rooms whitout the other aliens needs to be present, "collect res" (placing RTs) and put up 2nd and 3rd hive.
A secure room basicly have 2 or 3 OCs and depending on what "upgrade chambers" you have 1 DC. In rooms whit alot of trafic, +1 MC and +1 DC as a minimum.
A simple rule is to have no blind angles in the room or the hallway you want to protect. So by placing the upgradechambers neer boxes and corners, whit OCs "blocking" thies and the OC perpers at the same time whit 2-4 OCs, demands some stratigic thinking. (will come to the strategics further down)
Healing
As a gorge is it just as important to heal (+attack 2) as it is to construct the chambers.
Remember that!

Advanced section:
Now that you know the basics, lets go on whit some of the differnt tactics.
Defending Gorge, Offensive Gorge, Tactical Building and
Support Gorgeing.
Defending Gorge
Defending gorges uses alot of energi healing buildings, getting RTs and securing rooms, and is basicly a soloplayer. Meaning he have to be silent or have alot of energi, stealthy and will most of the time be on the "backside" of the hotzones, so redeption is the choise here.
As a Deffending gorge it is your task to secure the rooms one step behind the battle and healing retreating Kharaa´s.
Offensive Gorge
A offensive Gorge is "up ther" wher the battle is the hottest, and therfore need alot of energi healingpower, regen and prop focus or sent of fear, (depending on the situation and infoflow)
The main task is to "hold stand" whit Chambers like in a "secure room", but more healing is required here, so 2-5 OCs 2-3 DCs and a MC is prefered, And importanly: Room to retrating Kharaa´s, so dont block ther way whit chambers as you can in the Defending role.
Tactical Building
Is a timetaking and restaking job, a basic tactic situation is as follows;
Siegemap: after all RTs and the 2nd have have been put up, MCs should be put in the Alien Hall(s), so when leaping skulks and blinking fades dont use all ther energi before they reach the door-opening, but regain it as they go down the hallway. This can be done whit as little as 3 MCs in some maps!
Other Situations
NS_maps: Foreward sneakbuilding to Secure rooms behind marine lines, this needs alot of res, and is only recommended if you have a insight in your teams movements and are sure that planed attacks will succeed!
Becouse: You need some minutes alone, and you dont want the rines to kill all the chambers you just made or are making.
As you now know, most rooms have more then one way into it, and securing rooms behind enemy lines, needs dobble the res then normal.
Let me explain:
4-7 OCs (4 the way the rines are most likly to come from, and 3 the other way)
4-6 DCs (atleast 2 eash way, placed to heal the OCs, and the last ones behind boxes or in the corners to heal other aggresive Kharaa´s!)
1-2 MCs (to regain your energi if the marines discover you, and you need to kill em(how to will - see Battle gorge). And other aggresive Kharaa´s!)
OC tactics neer a hive...
If controling a hive OCs do not, i repeat do not need to be present in the hive! But in the
access ways into the hive. ( Use Def gorge tactics + 1 OC to cover running marines.
This is allso a great indicator to see if the hive will become attacked shortly after, ( the marines will most likely shot the chambers, and you will get a
"chamber is attacked warning" in your HUD.
SCs placement Tactics or
SCPT, is rather simple and is as follows:
Places SCs in hives hallways, rooms and vents. Wher you dont expect the marines to shot or walk. Marines will show up like if you have sence of fear when they are close to a SC. And is another great indicator of the marines movement paterns.
So if a room have a overhang ledge or dark corners... drop a SC. (Unless its way into your own terratory.)
ALLMIGHTY BATTLEGORGE
It is vary difficult to be a battlegorge, simply becouse you have relativ low HP, slow inaccurate and low damaging attacks.
But after 100s of hours playing a gorge you will be able and i promiss you, you will. Of killing up to 2 marines whit lmgs solo.
1st. of all kame sure you have the right upgrades, you need a fast regen of both HP and energi, (no silence here thanks! we want to let the world know that this guys just got n00bed

) and we need some power in our attaacks so fucus it is what we need, YIIR!
A battle gorge have a 50% higher succesrate of killing marines whit a DC or OC to jump around and on it, remember that.
Make sure you HP is above 100 at all times.
Remember that healing damages has a AoE effect and some wellplaced fucus spits dos miracles from distance.
Be on the move all the times, at distance few wellplaced pistolshots is a killar
