help me with my steam

i decided to reinstall my steam and now i cant start it when i klick at the steam icon it runs "updating steam platform" and when it is finished it just closes. so please help me!!!!

1. Close Steam
2. Write your Steam-Login and password down (if you downt know it)
3. Go to your Steam directory
4. Delete or rename ClientRegistry.blob file
5. Start Steam
