We just started our new chat server project that includes running an IRC server. After some testing our IRC server is online and ready for 1.000 users. Nickname and channel registration are included and databse driven. We do work on a solution you may have the option to register yourself and your channel through our website but for now you have to be on the server.

For all of you who do not want to install an irc client for any reason or just can't we have also a complete browser based chat integrated.
