HL1 with source engine

As you all know, Half - Life 1 is avalible with Source engine. A bug scratched my mind and i came up with a (stupid?) idea ;P

what if you are able to convert the mod (without messing with models or textures etc) from the old scrappy hl1 engine to the fresh hl2 one ans hl1 is done. I dont really care about gfx quality or whatever since NS is really fun. I mean, is this possible or am i just dreaming?

You should better ask one of the NS developer, all is possible, and all is about money an time Investing time to port an old mod with old look and feel to a new engine is wasted time if you can do it better in the same amount of time.

well i mean, it must be less time consuming than making a whole new NS:Source. Tho, the old look is probably not bothering our player, sure, new gfx would make the whole thing nicer, but the game will still (hopefully) the same.
