This map is causing some problems for aliens. Why? I've included an image to illustrate the problem.

The red doods are rhines (most commonly jp:ers) and as you see they like hanging around in box room.
The green slimy things are the aliens.

The anouncer say "10 sec to siege". Now this scenario happens (the aliens haven't taken control over box yet):
The aliens run around in the yellow circle acid/spore-spaming and sporadically rushing one at a time. This causes no real trouble to the marines since the aliens are under constant fire. The ten seconds pass and rhines get siege room and win the game.

What aliens could have done (but never do):
Follow the nicely drawn blue arrows and skip box room. Faster and less people shooting at you. By doing this aliens have atleast a chanse of getting siege room. Once siege room is secure a couple of aliens can take box since the rhines will have their hand full storming siege.


Can we please try this atleast once. If nothing else it will be a nice variation of dying.

how many do you think would use tactic? not many aliens listens

so your tactic is nice but there is at least one problem...
as you said the rines often or always take JP's @ supersiege003
it is ok that you want to go through the vent but with which aliens?
maybe some rines block vent with jp's and it's not that easy to kill them even with focus fades ( fucking vent blockers will get you next time :P ) you need 3 or 5 fades to go there and get vent clean and not all teammates will follow that :?
but i hope some aliens want to do that tactic because in most games where this tactic was started the right time aliens always won 8)

Never use the vent, if you look at my guide for this map, you can see that the main part of a defense is defending the lump room, in fact, i usually only have 6 turrets and 2-3 rines in box to keep the RTs, and have the majority of my defenses in the lump room because it is so easy to defend. Going through the vent is suicide, you have to go in single file and come out in a room that will usually have 12-18 turrets, 2 elec'd RTs and 4 or 5 JP marines, these together could annihilate the whole alien team.

I try to tell my teammates to do things like that bu of course, they never listen (he how'd you know i was going to say that). I hate it especially when i get a team full of newbs (What i mean full of newbs is when half the team goes onos, and then siege opens and all the onoses rush box and lump and jsut destoy everything, marines get siege room, kill 1-2 fades that actually rush, siege an win, while the onos just sit there hitting the turrets and tfs...) almost everyperson i've played with (not all) who goes onos, jsut sites and destoys pointless stuff (armoury, dead turret) instead of rushing siege, and then yet once all but 1 hive remains they try to rush and wonder wtf happened... its just..... well you know.

or...

My teams all lerks on the siege map... and jsut start flying around... don't know what siege is, and trhen all of a sudden go wtf why are hives dying, and build a base in res room and jsut fly around....

I just love when i get teammates like that.... Its basicly pointless to even try to go to siege when your the only one rushing and theres about 7-8 jpers in there.

In the game that made me post this marines were holding box with a tf and som turrets alone in lump. Two of us aliens rushed through the vent when siege opened. We managed to hold siege for some time but heavily outnumberd we had no chanse.
When I respawned I checked the map and guess what. All the aliens were camping outside box

Hives died just after.

And no. There were no rhines in the vents. All aliens fit in vent (onos needs lerklift).

Yer, well spotted. Never really thought about that lol and every1 on aliens are so dumb anyway they just can't get their heads round it.

Glitch

Their is a glitch to that map, if you go to a certain part of the vent(as Lerk) with another alien atached(lift) they will drop in seige room, this will work with a jper and a none jper together. even before seige room is opened so watch out.

I have another question how do you lift onos as lerk, i was told us adreanaline but it doesnt always work.

Yes, Foo say true things...

If I alien I go onos and kill from the start the door room, the large room pg/tf and if other teammate help me about 14-18 minute marines only owns the lump room or base with only 2-4 RT and alien wins.

Or have good lerks -> lerks drop me as onos to large room and I kill pg, tf and we finish marines faster than siege open...

But sometimes have a real noob team: half team unusable, like skulks, gorges, lerks and other half team is kill only, not destroy the objects, like pg, tf, etc...

The "perfect" team for me, if 14-vs-14

* maximum 2 gorge - before siege open: at front, if siege open: 1 at hive, 1 at front
* about 2-4 onos - no more - for "hard attacks"
* maximum 2 lerk: for gorge/onos transport, gas spam for jps
* all other FADE with focus -> kill jps - defense the onos warrirors

Summary for example:
+ 2 gorge
+ 3 onos
+ 2 lerk
+ 5 fade
+ 2 skulk (died/wait for more res)

And this team attack from door open and kill PGs first...

I sometimes die with only 1-2 kill or no kill but killed a PG. I think if I don't do this as onos -> others too shy to do this => we will loose. If good team have about only 2-3 helper -> we win.

We sometimes loose if only 1-2 helper for me - on 15-vs-15 game...

Tipically - bad game - :

when siege open about 3-4 player go gorge and build all oc/dc/sc/mc... and when need oc/dc to front - cannot build who really need this. And the gorges builds a self defense base when we loose he don't die and kill some marines with ocs...

I hate this... Why not help to others to rush siege? Why build all oc/dc when we have chance to win?

If this 3-4 player don't go gorge, go fade/onos -> more chance to win... but many players play as safe mode = go gorge and build OCs... :?

Other - the marine side game on supersiege map:

If have a little teamwork - marines can own the large room and lump room, or sometimes the door room too and no chance to alien to win.

I remember - close last game I was marine with jp+hmg and siege opens... Only owned large room and lump, door lost. Fades, onoses rushing to siege.

I was defend a siege room door and siege room place. Foo was the first who arrived as fade, and other fades and 1 onos. Summary: to siege can arrive only about 4-6 fade + 1 onos. Other players never go close to siege room door...

Not need a hard skill to shot with hmg a hardly damaged fades, onoses if other marines is attack too. Foo's aliens team loose, they was a very little chance to win but try it.

If have more 3-4 fade who have a same skill as foo on alien team = 100% we loose.
We was on siege only 3-4 jps with me. If attack same time 3 fade = we all dead. But if attack alone = easy to kill 3-4 jps+hmg the only 1 fade... This is a simply teamwork.

When any team have WTJ = this team was teamwork and 95% to win.
I like play with smart, expert players who can die to kill the objects if this need to win, like pg, tf. And hate statwhores who are shy and only attack a marines as alone and don't try to kill objects = don't want a chance to die...

If I only attack marines - don't help the teammates I can do 30kill/3die stat on looser alien team but I don't like it.
I do 3kill/15die to TRY kill PGs/TFs - or I was 1kill/8die but I TRIED to win with team but it was fault. If we have good team = other do same. If we have bad team others don't do this...
