This is a little tutorial how to defend a hive as onos when marines do HA rush.
Maybe help for only the NS beginers.
(I'm a hobby player too, not PRO...)
Marines are loosing - but they have many expert players too.
Story:
My favourite NS server, called
"The Alien Breeder (fire-bursts.com)". About 11-vs-11.
I'm give all resources at start to gorges (using giveres command), hives up and on 3 minute I was only 40 resources but other player give me resources to I can be the onos.
(onos need 75 resource and about 40 sec. gestalting/morphing time)
DEMO START: At start I onos (4:50) - and I gived my all resource and received too = this is GOOD a teamwork.
If I save resources from map start I can have 75 resource but others don't have resources.
Marines do a mistake - on start not all on door, many marines wait for heavy armour (HA). They coming and building Turret Factory (TF), Armoury (A), Turrets (T) and Sieges (S).
If about 4-5 sieges up and commander scan with radar a hive position about 1 minute and all 3 hive destroyed = marines win, kharaa/aliens loose.
I see as onos: TF up, sieges on good place but with others help I can killed the TF and the sieges don't work more. Other teammates killing other HAs and we defended the alien siege of map.
This point is = marines getting loose, aliens maybe 95% will win.
And after this time was easy... Aliens killing marines resource towers (RT) and all marine objects.
If marines do HA rush = no resource to team to build a ramps defense.
And now it was easy win...
I was play as "kamikaze" and safe...
Safe play = When I damaged = go back to hive/DCs/gorges to I will get back to 100% health/armour.
"kamikaze" play = I rush to "die"... I attack 5 HA+hmgs and I hit marines... If redept don't work I will die... But this game "GOD help me" and I don't died.
Redept is strange... sometimes when I was as onos 200-300 hp I was redepted but other times i was 150 HP and don't redept for 15 seconds... (and die).

PS.: You can see when aliens win - the commander on commander chair is not die, he press 2x F4 and quit to ready room (defore CC is destoryed...), he don't make wrong he stats... Who is the commander? Watch the demo...
