Alien tactics

Tonight I also was annoyed. :lol:

Not by this empty board, but by lack of alien tactics.
No hive at roundstart, 3 rounds in a row No siege wall, etc... :cry: :cry: :cry:

I thinks it's also time for smoe hardcore alines to teach some extraterrestrial tactics.

1. Not more then 4 gorges and skulks.... GIVERES XX :!:
2. 1x hive building at roundstart before RT's
3. Dont !! build OC's at siegedoor when you hear sieges beeing build
4. MC, DC, SC and >>> No SC, ..,...
5. build a few MC's towards the front so ONOS and fades can go quicker to the front


Enough for me now and the Aliens have also a tactics topic 8)

So carry on guyz and destroy, counter... my advise on tactics. Alins need it bad with all that GL spamming ops:

I was tired sometimes too to see how people doesn't care about teamplay or things they just don't understand... so let's explain in details what Inferno said

Each gorge cost to the alien team 10 res, think about it : 4 gorges cost 40 res for enought build power to take care of an RT within 3-4 seconds, that's simple enought . If a whole team goes gorge : 15 instead of 4, it makes a loss of (15-4)x10 = 90 ressources, which could be useful for one onos, two hives or 6 ressources towers !

Just give your res at the hive gorge, if you don't see any eggs around the hive places, go gorge and ask for everyone's res ! Earlier a hive is build, earlier your team will get DC/MC/SC upgrades.

Even if they don't build sieges ! 5/6 JP/GL spammers will take care of it without reloading in most cases. Siege door is a too much opened place.
Try instead OCs in aliens hall. The structure of alien halls catch sometimes the JP when they try to retreat, and it's even easier to make a OC-web combo !

In most case, this is the best bet for ordering upgrades on sieges, as MC allow fast blinking fades to get trought from the beginning, then DC allow them ro regen/cara/redempt quickly when 2nd hive is done. SC MUST BE THE LAST UPGRADE. Even on classic maps, SC is useless since rines get MT quickly (even to counter silence skulks)

Along the aliens way if you can, but they're most useful at front since :
1 ) Fades can use rockets
2 ) Lerks can gaze JP and umbra onoses
3 ) Onoses can charge faster, eat an annoying HA and get back immediatly to hive for fast regen with the HA in his stomack

There is also something that i would like to add :

6 ) Don't spam webs if you dont know how to use them

I use webs in combat, immobilising Has/JPs as they move on but can't use them since another gorge use all the webs in an near area... But only one-two webs in a way ! One rine can take care of an webspam area if not placed correctly so space them or use only 1/2 of them (it gets useful if as a gorge you can use webs against an alone JP even with a welder)

Giving Resources is a huge advantage, most servers you cant even give res. Anyways

1a. If you hear they have HA at door get a few onos fast
1b. If you hear they have JP at door get a few fades and lerks
2. Don't block your teammates, otherwise they will die
3. If resources are scarce Share it
4. Make sure no one gets through other wise they could build a huge base in the aliens terroitory
5. GL's are very vulnerable, if you see a grenade run, you only got 4 seconds :P After you can run in and kill em
6. When doors open, Fade could quickly Blink in, get to their base and start destroying important stuff e.g. Arms Lab, Armory Or IP
7. Lerks Carry Gorges while the gorge heal it, you can get to many place with that (Note: You need Adrenaline to LerkLift Onoses)

Alien Upgrades List (This is mine)

Skulk (Stealth) = Carapace, Silence, Cloaking
Skulk (Offense) = Carapace, Celerity, Scent Of Fear

Gorge = Carapace, Celerity, Scent Of Fear (It really depends on what position you are in.)

Lerk = Regeneration, Celerity (or) Adrenaline, Focus

Fade = Carapace, Celerity, Focus

Onos = Redemptation (or) Carapace, Celerity, Scent Of Fear

Note: This is My Alien Upgrades list :!:

a very good tactic is that as soon the siege door opens u rush to their base as fade(its alwasy good if u have some buddy fade to help u ) and then get their advanced armory and next u should get prototye lab, then they are defensles u can swipe thme to pices or not if u are afraid of their lmg

When marines defend (supersiege003 for example), dont storm them constantly. Wait, when 2 lerks, onos, 3 fades stop and wait until they all will group: umbra, primal scream, RUSH. Even 15 marines will not manage to kill all. Onos should get a part of bullets, reloading marines will not hurt fades and lerks.
Constant rush on marines is good when they advance through corridor, when they defend, concentrate Your teammates and rush together.

good tip

Been playing a supply line of onos's towards front. Keeps the pressure on the rines. For sure on BIG maps where it takes tooo long to return to front..

I wrote this one down 8)

If you want to gestate and you have the res, but you are at the alien frontline which is not safe, look for a nearly movement chamber and use it.

ok, i have decided to give you (one of) the exact methods used to beat my unbeatable siege_007 strategy (see rine tactics for that). Now, teamwork is the key to this one, you need at least 3 fades to blink over the ramps and through the hall, now here is the key part. Most fades run out of energy in the jp room and get taken down by my third layer of turrets, they way to fight this is NOT to blink straight up, but to sit in the corner and regain your energy. Now, if there's only one fade, he'll have lost all his armour to the turrets, and a lone jp/hmg rine can take him out with ease. If there are 3 fades, at most 2 of them will have lost all their armour, and one will be mostly untouched. The untouched one should cover the other two until they have all blinked safely to the top. Once there, you should have one of the fades go gorge and build a DC/OC wall, but out of sight so that passing marines dont get hit and decide to gl spam the area. once you have done this, harrass the base constantly, try and take out the obs especially, without it the comm and his rines cannot see you and your activities in the jp room. Then hit his RTs, then, hit the rines. If the comm is low on res and unable to re-quip the rines, they will more than likely eject him, and that will pretty much win it for the aliens.

This is only one way to win it, but the key with all of them is not to try and blink through by yourself. Now obvisouly if there's a good comm in the CC (i.e. me) you can stop even a large number of fades in the jp room, for example, i had 4 of my marines manage to take out 5 fades, a gorge, and an OC/DC wall, while still holding the ramps, but most comms will be unable to do this.
